Nghi and Phuong decided that their 17 years old daughter should get married to relieve the family of their debts. On the big day, Nghi has a bad feeling as she sees the foreign chinese groom for the first time. When the bride disappears after the ceremony, the mother must decide what she is willing to sacrifice for her family's happiness.



Born in 1988 in Hanoi, Duc Ngo Ngoc has lived in Germany since the age of 5. After studying media and art design at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, he co-founded the KAMMER11 Filmkollektiv with 4 other filmmakers in 2013. Since 2015, he has been pursuing a Master's degree in filmmaking at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf, including an exchange semester at the Academy of Theater and Film in Hanoi. Another of his short films, Obst and Gemüse, had been selected for the 2nd edition of Ici Vietnam Festival Cinéma in 2019.
