Born in 1988 in Hanoi, Duc Ngo Ngoc has been living in Germany since the age of 5. After studying media and design art at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, he co-founded the KAMMER11 Filmkollektiv with 4 other filmmakers in 2013. Since 2015, he has been pursuing a Master's degree in filmmaking at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf, including a semester at the Academy of Theatre and Film in Hanoi. His short film Trading Happiness was also selected for the 4th edition of Ici Vietnam Festival Cinema in 2021.
