Joséphine Page | 2018 | France | 8’ | Fiction

In 1975, the Vietnam War comes to an end and Saigon is liberated from American control. However, this event is also called by some Vietnamese ''the fall of Saigon'' as an authoritarian power is established. One evening in April 1983, a group of friends bid each other farewell while dancing.
Joséphine Page, a film student, spent six months in Vietnam with the intention of making a film on location. The short film Leaving Saigon was written and shot during this period.
