HOW GREEN THE CALABASH GARDEN WAS
Truong Minh Quy | 2016 | Vietnam | 15’ | Documentary

Together with director Truong Minh Quy, a Vietnamese veteran recreates the horrors of the Cambodian genocide in naive drawings in a lush calabash garden. A sincere, personal short film with an unexpected twist when the director starts reflecting on the veteran’s story in an original manner.

He is an alumnus of the Asian Film Academy 2012 and Berlinale Talents 2016. He is currently researching new media at Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains in France.
