A shy uni student attempts to ask out his crush who works at an Asian grocery store run by a bickering Vietnamese couple. When a robbery breaks out, the chaotic and cramped aisles of the vibrant store transform into a maze as an old fashioned game of cat and mouse is played.



Cassandra Nguyen is an emerging writer and director based in Perth, Western Australia. Her first short film, Play Lunch, received international acclaim at numerous film festivals winning the “Jury Prize for Best Short Film” at the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival. Her follow up project Visiting Mum screened at various festivals including the San Diego Asian Film Festival and won “Best Director” and “Best Actor” at the Asians on Film Festival. She was selected to attend the inaugural AFTRS Talent Camp WA and underwent a week-long storytelling intensive lead by Kath Shelper and Brita McVeigh. She has written an episode of 'The Heights season 2' (ABC TV & Matchbox Productions).
